The Annual John-Wesley Villas Pastor Appreciation Luncheon was held on Thursday, August 11, 2011. The residents had a wonderful time and enjoyed sharing a meal with their pastors.
Introduction To Computers Class
Kevin and Kory Ulshafer came to John-Wesley Villas in July to teach an Introduction to Computers Class. The residents were shown some basic internet information. There was a special emphasis on shopping online!
Father’s Day Dinner
The Annual Father’s Day Dinner was held on Wednesday, June 15. Men from John-Wesley were able to enjoy an amazing meal of steak, twice baked potatoes, green beans with almonds and banana pudding for dessert!

Sue Tomlin and Company, Strings Performance
Sue Tomlin, renowned musician and member of the Macon Symphony Orchestra, performed with colleagues and students for the residents of John-Wesley Villas on Sunday afternoon, May 15, 2011. The residents were thrilled with the music and impressed with the number of different string instruments that Ms. Tomlin and her students played.
Woman of Achievement
Amy Rauls
Amy Rauls has been chosen by the Career Women’s Network to be recognized as a 2011 Women of Achievement. Anyone who knows Amy certainly knows how deserving she is of this honor! All of us within the John-Wesley Villas family benefit from Amy’s professionalism, dedication, her meticulous preparation, and passion for excellence. In addition to her dedication to John-Wesley Villas and Southeastern Retirement Management Company, she is also a strong supporter of Macon and Middle Georgia. She serves on the Foundation Board for the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, the Board of Trustees and Board of Visitors for Wesleyan College, the Advisory Board for the Macon State College Nursing School, and the Alzheimer’s Association of Middle Georgia. She has also served Partners in Education for Public Schools, Memory Walk Chair, Relay for Life, and countless other organizations. Amy demonstrates through her actions, with a “servant’s” heart. She has helped countless families in their time of need, always serving with grace in living her strong faith. Congratulations Amy, we are proud of you!
Mother/ Daughter Tea
We had a wonderful time at our annual Mother/ Daughter Tea held on Friday, May 6, 2011. Residents gathered in the Club House at 3:00 in time for tea and some tasty treats! Many Residents brought their daughters or other family members although there were several tables of just friends.

David Northington Concert
We were honored to have renowned pianist David Northington visited John-Wesley Villas on Friday, February 11, 2011. The New York Times describes Mr. Northington as “an immensely gifted musician…who combines the technical mastery of a virtuoso with the musical sensitivity of a poet.
